Mill Valley Residents Vote Yes to Improvements

Looks like there will be some building improvements in the Mill Valley School District. Yesterday, almost seventy percent of Mill Valley voters said yes to fund an almost sixty million dollar bond for the improvements. The fund will be used to modernize, reconstruct and repair buildings on all the campuses.

Average costs will not start until 2010 and will cost property owners approximately twenty dollars per one hundred thousand dollars of the assessed value. Limits will not exceed thirty dollars per one hundred thousand dollars of value over the next quarter century.

Not only are the buildings in dire need of repairs, but capacity issues are also on the forefront with almost five hundred more students in half a decade.
