When to Sell? All months in Marin are good times to sell but historically there are two principal seasons when there are more buyers available. January to April and Sept to November. Now that the summer is almost over I would suggest that you wait until after Labor Day to bring your house on the market. August is vacation time for lots of families and buyers and sellers also take some of that time to enjoy the rest of the summer. The number of single family homes on the market in Marin has reached almost 1,000 and condominiums and Town homes are at records numbers-- over 300. This allows buyers to be able to take their time on selecting the right home. It does not mean that a house fairly priced which shows well will not move quickly. On the contrary, this is the strategy that should be taken in this more balanced market. To find out what your home will bring in today's market, and how to price your home to get there, give me a call.
